Who We Are

WhistleblowerShield.org is an independent public-interest educational project operated by Dejunai.

Cookies and Tracking

WhistleblowerShield.org does not use tracking cookies. We do not engage in visitor profiling, marketing analytics, or cross-site tracking. Our infrastructure is configured to prioritize visitor privacy by disabling all non-essential data collection, including Real User Measurements (RUM) and marketing analytics. Some baseline activity logging is retained by our infrastructure providers for system security and service operations — this is described in the Technology Stack section below. This site is built using WordPress, GeneratePress, and Advanced Custom Fields, all of which are configured to deliver content without the use of cookies for non-administrative visitors. We believe that researching legal protections should not come at the cost of your digital privacy.

Technology Stack & Infrastructure

This website uses Cloudflare for security and performance services and a U.S.-based web hosting provider for hosting infrastructure. We only collect “essential data”.

Essential Data Collection: Our infrastructure providers may process technical details such as IP addresses and basic traffic information (e.g., which pages are accessed). This data is collected solely for the following purposes:

  • Security: Protecting the site from DDoS attacks and unauthorized access.
  • Performance: Routing traffic through a global network to ensure fast load times.
  • Encryption: Providing SSL/TLS encryption to secure your connection to this site.

This is infrastructure-level data required for the website to function; it is not used for marketing, advertising, or tracking your individual behavior. While we control the privacy settings within these services, we cannot control the underlying technical requirements of our technology stack.

When you use our guided assistance filters, your selections are processed statelessly to return matching directory results. Filter metrics are logged strictly in the aggregate to identify data coverage gaps; no user IP addresses, session cookies, or personal identifiers are stored with these search logs.

Employer Device & Network Surveillance Warning

Important Notice for Workplace Readers: While WhistleblowerShield.org does not track your individual browsing activity, accessing this site from an employer-owned computer, work smartphone, corporate Wi-Fi network, or work VPN leaves digital connection records on your employer’s network servers. We cannot delete logs created on your employer’s infrastructure. If you are researching whistleblower protections or considering making a disclosure, we strongly recommend using a personal device, a non-work internet connection, and a personal email address.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

WhistleblowerShield.org is committed to protecting visitor privacy and minimizes the use of embedded third-party content for this reason. However, some pages on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, images, or interactive elements). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use tracking pixels, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Contact Forms and Correspondence

When you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect the data you provide to respond to your inquiry. This typically includes your email address and the content of your message. Any information sent to us is kept confidential and used solely to address your inquiry.

Media

To protect the privacy and intellectual property of all parties, WhistleblowerShield.org maintains strict control over the media published on this platform. All media on this site is created by the site’s authors, or is believed to be in the public domain. Media takedown requests—including those related to copyright or the unauthorized use of an individual’s likeness—should be directed to [email protected]. Takedown requests will be acknowledged and reviewed promptly. If a valid claim is established, the media will be removed.

Donations

If you choose to support this project financially, payment processing is handled entirely by secure third-party providers. (Payment providers may use their own functional cookies to process your transaction safely.) WhistleblowerShield.org does not collect, process, or store payment card information or financial data.

Who We Share Your Data With & Retention

No personal tracking data is collected by WhistleblowerShield.org. Therefore, no visitor data is retained, shared, sold, or rented to third parties.

Your Rights

If you believe data has been collected about you in error, contact [email protected]. We will investigate and respond promptly. Any data found will be provided to you upon request and deleted.
